September is Big Brothers Big Sisters Month - Come Help Us Celebrate!

86 Ochterloney St. Dartmouth - Sept 10, 2009

On September 10, 2009, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Halifax will be holding a BIG BBQ in the parking lot of our office at 86 Ochterloney Street in Dartmouth. Everyone in the community is invited to attend and help us celebrate Big Brothers Big Sisters Month. Lunch costs only $5 (hamburger or hotdog, chips, and a can of pop) plus we will have raffles, games and prizes.

Special guests (and Big Brothers Big Sisters Alumni members) Ron and Tom will also stop by. They are travelling from Niagara Falls, ON, to St. John’s, NFLD, to compete in “TARGA”, an internationally renowned road rally that will take place over a 2,200km road course that winds through eastern and central Newfoundland from Sept. 13 to 18th.

On their journey Ron & Tom will be driving a decaled MINI Cooper S Clubman, provided courtesy of MINI Canada and stopping in various cities from Niagara Falls through St.John’s, including Ottawa, Montreal, Quebec, Moncton and right here in Halifax.

Come out to chat with them about their adventures, meet your neighbours and join in on a laugh or two. Hope to see you there!
