Friday, July 22, 2011 - To celebrate the opening of their new store in Bayers Lake (Halifax), Best Buy presented a cheque for $5,000 to Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Halifax.

On hand to accept the cheque were Executive Director, Carol Goddard and enthusiastic volunteer, Skyler. Customers were lined up outside the perimeter of the store as early as 3:30 am in anticipation of special prize draws and sales.

Mayor Peter Kelly and Skyler held the opening ribbon for Best Buy mascot "Taggie" to run through and mark the official opening.
