"I'm just trying to change the world, one sequin at a time," said Lady Gaga, as she and many other celebs walked the red carpet at the Hollywood themed Bowl for Kids Sake events at Fairlanes in Halifax. Katie Perry, Pink, Justin Bieber and (if you can believe it) Marilyn Monroe all lent their support to the campaign. Well,  maybe it wasn't the real celebrities, but rather everyday people with the Hollywood spirit, working together to help young people in our community.

Big Brothers Big Sisters' Bowl for Kids Sake campaign is the largest, annual fund raiser for the agency, and this year, teams from all over Greater Halifax helped raise nearly $210,000. "I am overwhelmed with the amount of support shown by this community over the weekend," said Trevor Stevenson, Chair of the campaign. "These great fund raising results mean we can get more children involved in the Big Brothers Big Sisters programs. The demand for these programs is ongoing, which is why the support of our bowlers and donors is so important. On behalf of all the kids who will benefit from this support, please accept my sincere thanks."
