As a child serving organization, the welfare and safety of children and their families are extremely important to all of us at Big Brothers Big Sisters. It is difficult to fathom how tragic the circumstances are in Haiti for the people whose lives have been devastated by the recent earthquake. They are in our thoughts daily. We hope our supporters and friends will take a moment to visit the Red Cross website and offer your financial support. Donations are urgently needed.

In Halifax, we are proud to be a part of a strong military community, and we salute the efforts of our military personnel who have been deployed to Haiti to help in the relief efforts. We are also proud and supportive of the families of these sailors who remain here, holding down the fort, while their loved ones are away.
