When you were a child or young adult, was there someone in your life who encouraged you to reach your potential? Someone who helped guide you toward your dreams and goals and positively impacted your life? If so, September 14th, 2009 is the day to take the time and thank that person for all he or she has done for you. September is Big Brothers Big Sisters Month and we would like you to celebrate with us by reflecting on your time with your mentor and the impact he or she made on your life.

Thanking your mentor could be as simple as sending a thank you email to your mentor, calling your mentor on the phone to say thanks, or writing a letter to your mentor. You could even go a step further by "passing it on" and becoming a mentor yourself. However you decide to spend "Thank Your Mentor Day," let your mentor know how much his or her presence in your life has made a difference to you.
