Littles Lawrence & Quesha travelled to Burlington, Ontario as delegates to the first national Youth Summit.

Youth delegates from across the country were flown in by WestJet for our first national Youth Summit. On Thursday night, the young people worked away on crafting topics for their sessions and then presented their ideas and thoughts in forums Friday morning. They shared with conference delegates what they felt about age-appropriate programs, technology, and planning.
They shared their insight and perspective to those assembled for the Leadership Symposium, and offered advice about how to include youth in planning, teen mentoring programs, the importance of technology in communicating with youth, and the importance of offering age-appropriate activities. Conference delegates agreed the session was extremely valuable, and many came away with ideas on how to engage youth more readily on the local level.
