It’s easy to be a Super Star to kids in our community...walk the Red Carpet in your bowling shoes and you can make a difference!
Over 100 children in Greater Halifax need a Star - A Star who will help raise the funds needed to match these young people with a caring mentor and friend. We’re launching the Bowl for Kids Sake 2011 campaign, and (as you might have guessed) our theme is "Stars on the Red Carpet."

ABOUT THE CAMPAIGN: Bowl for Kids Sake is the largest, annual fund-raising campaign for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Halifax. All of the money raised assists the agency in creating and supporting meaningful friendships for children with caring, adult mentors. Right now, there are over 100 children waiting to be matched with an adult mentor and friend. Demand for our programs always outweighs our resources. As we match kids on the waiting list, other children enrol and take their turn to wait. We know we’ll always have a waiting list, but ideally, we’d like to reduce the time children wait. This is why the success of the Bowl for Kids Sake campaign is so vital.
